We had a very good experience in Grenoble, especially with one of their staff, Haci. Haci was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and we really appreciated all his help! Next time we come back, we hope Avis will have promoted him!

When returning the car I was in a hurry to catch my flight, so I've just gave back the car key to the manager of the site explaining to him that I'm in a hurry to not miss my flight and if is fine for him to do the inspection of the car and to send me the final bill. He looked at the car and assured me that everything is ok with the car and no extra charges will be made. To my surprise while I was queueing to do the checkin for my flight I get the email with the final bill for the returned car and it was showing a 60euro extra charge without any reason mentioned. Luckily my flight eventually got delayed and I had time to go back to the car rental shop and confront the manager of the site asking for an explanation of why I was charged those extra 60euro. He saw me he looked like he saw ghost as he was not expecting me to go back and ask for details. He was not able to provide any explanation so after insisting he I was granted a refund. Very bad experience overall!

All good until final bill received. Agent mistakenly recorded incorrect return location resulting in massive additional charge. Complaint initiated but no action after one week and phone line does not get answered - three 15 minute plus waits with no results. Understand mistakes happen but tolerance for this is quickly eroded by exceedingly poor attention to customer service. Not even deserving of one star and the longer this issue goes on the more it smacks of blatant dishonesty.

This Budget office is on-site and easy to find. There were plenty of staff, they were friendly and I got served immediately, the same on return actually. I had top up insurance and was not pressured beyond asking if I wanted any - which was good! The fuel station is right by the return location, always a bonus. I'd use again for sure.

I had a very excellent experience at Avis Montargis. The user experience was seamless. I reviewed and chose a vehicle online, called and asked for precisions and I recieved guidance information. I was also proposed a comprehensive insurance. I first gave 3 stars because of a little wait I had at the end of the day to return the vehicle, but quickly realised that it was due to inflow of business and not due to Negligence. So thumbs up, and keep the good work;

Given snow chains that did not fit, so was driving illegally in the mountains. Cost us €70 to buy snow socks to travel back. The rest went very smoothly but the above is not acceptable. Will we get a refund? I doubt it.
